Happy Father's Day!

The road of life is longer
that at beginning thought,
No longer do you linger
As though this world sought;
A path so straight-ne'r to curve,
Nor expectant hopes rend
For Yaweh is beginning,
And Christ the hopeful end.

A Family, marriage, fatherhood,
Marks out the life Christ found
To lead first then daughters,
And grandaughters surround
An example of God the Father,
Souls to heaven help send;
For Yaweh is beginning,
And Christ the hopeful end.

The battle of life seems to fade
Under Bridegroom's perfect gaze,
Of love and mercy-sins for paid;
Devil's beaten-God be praised
Another man-fought for Christ's side;
More territory penned
For Yaweh is beginning,
And Christ the hopeful end.
